How it is built
LotusTable began as a proof-of-concept — a real-world field test for Statelume, a state-machine language and engine for modelling complex game logic. Under the hood it is a modern, event-driven microservice architecture: the game engine, the connection layer and the lobby are independent services that talk to one another through a stream of events. The client is a browser-based 3D experience built on open web standards. Above all, it is a labour of love from a small team of engineers who happen to love mahjong.
